My child isn't reading yet. Can he/she still attend?
Yes! We teach pre-reading skills as well as reading skills at your child's appropriate level.

How do you determine what to teach the students?
We assess each child during the first day through short questions or games. The children are then placed in flexible groups with other students of similar reading skills for the remainder of the week.

How can I be sure my child will be in the same group as his/her friends?
If you are enrolling your child with friends in the same session, please note this on your registration or send us an email. We group the students based on the skills within the room, so we cannot guarantee that your child will be grouped with friends during skill development times. They will be together during whole group times.

My child is going into PEP/HOP. Can he/she still attend?
Yes! PEP/HOP is considered an additional year of kindergarten.

I don't live in Manhattan Beach and my child doesn't attend Manhattan Beach Schools. Can I still enroll my child?
Yes! Our camp is open to any student enrolled for grades K,1, 2 & 3 (September 2005 enrollment).

Do I need to send a snack with my child?
Yes! There will be a short break every day. Food provides the extra fuel necessary to keep your child active and ready to learn.
